Staying fresh for the summer with Zabana Essentials

It's finally summer and it's been blazing hot here in the Los Angeles county area (it's around 105° F)! Deodorant is a must for this type of weather so I decided to share my favorite products to keep the pits clean and fresh.

Just to let you all know, I switched to a natural, non-toxic deodorant this past February so I no longer experience the side effects of using a conventional deodorant. So if you're barely transitioning to a natural deodorant, your skin will need extra time to detox and get rid of the chemicals left from the conventional deodorant. Although I had a natural deodorant already, I decided to buy the Zabana Essentials deodorant since they offered 2 scents without baking soda/sodium bicarbonate and my previous deodorant was giving me a really bad rash. I love Zabana Essentials' branding, affordability, and the fact that they're vegan.
Zabana Essentials Baking Soda Free Deodorant and Armpit Bar Review
I decided to get their most popular scent, Lemongrass Nectar, and also the Armpit Detox Bar. I've been using both for a month now and wanted to share my thoughts with you!

Baking Soda Free Mini Deodorant Stick Lemongrass Nectar
Pros
  • The mini size is really cute and also easy to travel with
  • Smells fruity like apricots but not like lemongrass
  • Keeps me fresh all day
  • Easy, twist-up application
  • Doesn't melt/turn into liquid when temperatures are hot
  • Doesn't cause irritation
  • Doesn't stain clothes
Cons
  • It's not an antiperspirant so it won't control sweating but the Armpit Detox Bar is supposed to help with that. Also,  after discontinued usage of conventional deodorants & antiperspirants, many people, including myself, experience little to no underarm sweating :)

Armpit Detox Bar Coconut Charcoal & Clay
Pros
  • Contains activated charcoal to detoxify
  • Contains sea salt to exfoliate
  • Doesn't dry out the skin since it contains olive, coconut and shea butter
  • Smells clean and a little bit like coconut but isn't overwhelming
  • Really helps clean off deodorant residue better than regular body washes
Cons
  • None :)
I highly recommend trying out these products to keep your pits fresh and clean for the summer! I want to try out the Lime Berry Basil scent since it's also free of baking soda. They also sell skincare products and dry shampoo. Have you tried anything from Zabana Essentials before?
