Honest Beauty Everything Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free Review hellolindasau

Hi everyone! I got a chance to visit Honest Beauty's pop-up shop at the Grove in Los Angeles before it closed for good and I'm so happy I was able to go! Their store was beautifully designed and the products looked 10x more appealing! I decided to get the bundle where you select any 3 items for $50. The bundle is a great deal, however, it's a subscription but you can adjust the time frame of the delivery and the products in the bundle.

I was most excited for their tinted moisturizer, which retails for $28, since I've heard a lot of buzz about it online! The shade Cream matched me the best since it was a light/medium shade with warm undertones.

Pros
It contains a lot of plant-based extracts like chamomile and calendula which are great for soothing the skin. I also like how it has ginger root extract which is known to reduce skin inflammation and irritation.

The texture of the tinted moisturizer is thick but once applied and blended onto the skin, it feels surprisingly weightless and looks very natural (I like to use the buffing brush to apply). It also provides medium coverage, leaving a dewy finish. The tinted moisturizer lasts well throughout the day once I apply some finishing powder, however, I don't find it particularly great at controlling oil.

Cons
Although I really enjoyed how the tinted moisturizer felt and looked on my skin, it caused my skin to break out excessively! I stopped using it for about 3 days and saw that my skin was clearing up so I decided to try the tinted moisturizer again and unfortunately my skin reacted in even more breakouts. I believe it's the coconut oil that caused the breakouts.

Buffing Brush
When I tried the buffing brush in stores, I was pleasantly surprised at how soft it was! The buffing buff retails for $34 and is made out of synthetic hair fibers without artificial dyes and the handle is made out of sustainable, FSC-certified wood.

I love this brush! It's perfect for liquid, cream, and powder products. I've used this to blend out the tinted moisturizer as well as cream foundations, liquid concealers, pressed powders, and loose powders— this brush does it all!

The size of the brush is perfect, even for those with smaller faces. It also fits perfectly onto my W3LL PEOPLE Bio Brightener powder which makes it easier for me to dispense the product without leaving a powdery mess.

The bristles do not shed throughout washes but require a longer time to dry since it's quite dense. This brush has become an everyday staple in my makeup collection!
