100 Percent Pure Organic Matcha Moisturizer Review

100 Percent Pure Organic Matcha Moisturizer Review nontoxic natural skin care brand hellolindasau

I've always stuck to my good old Acure Organics Marula Oil as my moisturizer but lately my skin has been feeling dehydrated. So I began my hunt for a water-based moisturizer so that I can mix it with my marula oil to create an emulsion and quench my skin's thirst. I've been eyeing the 100 Percent Pure's Organic Matcha Anti-Aging Moisturizer when it first launched and finally ordered it when 100 Percent Pure had a sale.

The moisturizer is packaged in a leak-proof glass bottle with 2 oz of product and retails for $49. Not only does this moisturizer contain a ton of antioxidant-rich ingredients, 95% of the ingredients are certified organic. This moisturizer is crafted with potent botanical ingredients and made to help damaged skin feeling nourished and looking youthful and vibrant.

Pros
I enjoy the texture of this moisturizer since it sinks into the skin quickly and is lightweight. Also, it doesn't pill up when I apply makeup on top. There's a light scent but it fades almost instantly after application.

When I mix this with an oil and apply it to my face, my skin feels soft and supple the next day.

After using it for a month, I feel like the skin looks a lot more even-toned and plump. I chose the Organic Matcha Moisturizer over the other organic moisturizers 100 Percent Pure offered mainly because I live in the city where I'm exposed to a lot of pollution and this contains free-radical fighting ingredients.

Also, the packaging is perfect. The glass bottle is beautiful and the pump is easy to control. It doesn't leak and the lid doesn't crack or get loose.

Cons
My skin type is often combination that leans more towards the oily side, however, it's been combination with the best of both worlds where some parts are oily and some parts are quite dry. Like I mentioned earlier, this moisturizer sinks into my skin quickly but when I use it by itself, it feels as if I didn't apply any moisturizer. I find that mixing it with an oil is a necessity to get the moisturizing benefits. I personally don't mind mixing it with an oil, however, I know some people would prefer to skip the oil.

Overall, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. I love the ingredients in this moisturizer and I love the positive effect it's had on my skin. I'm curious to try their Organic Matcha Aging Shielding Serum which contains more potency than this moisturizer.

Let me know if you have recommendations for an antioxidant-rich moisturizer!

*Update 11/24/16: Unfortunately, this contains Coconut Stearic Acid which ended up breaking my skin out. If you know you breakout from coconut, then I do not recommend this.
