Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain Review
I don't know about you but my lips are always dry no matter what season it is. I'm always on the look out for a nourishing lippie that will also deliver a wash of color. Prior to transitioning to green beauty, I've been a huge fan of lip stains so I'm glad that I don't have to compromise toxic ingredients for a long-lasting lip stain.
Triisostearyl Citrate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Oil, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Wax, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Citric Acid, May Contain: Red 21 (CI 45380)(Aka 223), Orange 5 (CI 45370)(Aka 201)
I got the Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain, which retails for $25, in the shade Forever Peach. I personally am obsessed with peachy, orange shades like this!
To my surprise the product applies clearly on the lips and turns into a vibrant hot pink with a hint of orange. It's very bold, especially if you reapply. I haven't tried it on my cheeks because I feel like the texture wouldn't sit well with my oily, combo skin.
- Moisturizes the lips
- The stain lasts really long even through drinking and eating
- Leaves a nice, glossy finish (the more you reapply, the glossier it will be)
- Not sticky
- Cannot control the color
- The stain will leave behind an uneven ring so you'll need to reapply if it wears out in the center
Overall, I really enjoy this lip product! I've had it for a while now and reached for it a lot when I was in school because I didn't have to worry so much about reapplying. What are your thoughts on lip stains?
